Town - West coast tour
Day 5: Witness the viewpoints of Lions Head and Signal Hill. After you will embark on a journey to Robben Island here, you will be able to cover the history of Nelson Mandela and witness the wild life on the island. Later at your own steam, explore the V&A waterfront.
Day 6: Depart to the holiday resort Yesterfontein where you will see Dassen Island one of the few remaining breeding sites of the Cape Gannet. The lighthouse on the island is a beacon in the sea of Cape of Storms. Visit the West Coast National Park with its exquisite Fauna and Flora, which is a must to see, including the wild flower display. Langebaan is nutritionally the richest lagoon in SA which houses 100 000 birds of 200 species. From Langebaan to Saldanah the
largest natural harbor in the world.
Day 7: Visit fishing villages like Paternoster, Stumpneus Baai, St Helena Baai, Elandsbaai and Lambert's Baai. Weather permitting we will attend a lobster braai under the stars at Muisbosskern beach.
Day 8: Commence to Citrisdal the capital of Citrus, orchards and vineyards. Depart Oliphants valley via Middelberg pass and Gydo pass and admire the King and Queen proteas along the road. Drive along Cederberg mountain range well known for its bizarre rock shapes fashioned by erosion over thousands of years and called "Rock Gardens of the Gods". On the return trip to Cape Town, you will visit historic and idyllic places on route.
